Introduction about CRDE
Like minded persons working with different organisations had planned to work for the upliftment of the poorest of the poor people of the state/country. And henceC.R.D.E. came into existence on 1st October 1991.C.R.D.E. was setup as a Non- Profit Making, Non Government Organization. Since its inception it has grown rapidly. It has always been blessed with Efficient, Experienced and Enthusiastic members and staff that disseminated their experience based knowledge and has brought out optimistic results in implemented projects and other activities.
In past 20 yearsC.R.D.E. has undertaken work in various social sectors and strived to success by ingenutive ways.C.R.D.E. has been continuously praised for its effective governance of Krishi Vigyan Kendra in district Sehore which has attracted national attention due to its efforts to refine and transfer new technologies among farmers of adopted villages and line departments of the district by 'On Farm Testing' and Front Line Demonstration' and organizing need based trainings for weaker section societies.C.R.D.E. KVK has organized number of training activities through which it has reached all corners of the district and has succeed to win trust of people and in-depth support of allied government departments and other active NGOs..
C.R.D.E. has under taken the project "Wise water Management" funded by W.F.P. & U.N.I.C.E.F.F. The project aimed at the construction of sanitary structures in village Junapani, Block – Kahlawa District – Khandwa. The base of the project was to encourage people for Gray Water Reusage which is collected from bathroom and treated in a system having screening, settling, filtration and aeration units. The project helps in achieving multiple aims like meeting water shortage, reduces the risk of spread of disease like Malaria, efficient use of available water resource etc. Under the projectC.R.D.E. has constructed low cost 300 bathroom units. Along with thatC.R.D.E. has encouraged people by spreading the knowledge and making villagers aware by .. the system . Work done byC.R.D.E. was so effective that it attracted a huge attention at block and district level along with the admiration by WFP & UNICEFF. This unique work was so appreciated that Junapani Panchayat has been awarded as Nirmal Gram Panchayat by the Honorable President of India Smt. Pratibha Patil.
C.R.D.E. has successfully implemented two Milli Watersheds 2C1D6A and 2C2C6I in development block Begamganj of district Raisen (Madhya Pradesh). The programme aimed to achieve conservation and development of watershed area to improve its ecological well being and thereby enhancing its productivity and life supporting system for the betterment of the people and their environment. To achieve the aims of watershed programmeC.R.D.E. carried out activities like aforestation, drainage line treatment, constructions of small water harvesting structures and employment generating activities through SHGs by training them through capacity building programmes and providing them market linkages and knowledge so that they can operate and maintain assets created.
Similarly C.R.D.E. has a strong work experience in environment and forest management. In due course of time C.R.D.E. has conducted many activities under this sector. C.R.D.E. organized capacity building programme for Joint Forest Management Committees of district Khandwa, Madhya Pradesh funded by World Food Programme. Along with that we have also organized a national workshop relating to Implementation of Environmental Legislations for Protection and Conservation of Environment which aimed to critically review the existing environmental legislations by identifying the issues inherent in legislation, which are providing to be a constraint for economic development with social implications.
All the discussed activities are only few gems of the crown. Besides them C.R.D.E. has been part of many research studies, action research, study courses, conferences, trainings, publications of journals and books, and other academic research activities.
